As we look back on the past 15 months, Mike and Rita Jones and I feel extremely blessed and lucky.  The success of our single "So Long, Texas-Hello, Mexico" paved the way for our 11 song C.D."Life's Too Short Not to Live in Texas".  Our first single was released nationally in the Nov. '06 CDX compilation out of Nashville.  In May of '07 the title song was released regionally and nationally on CD-Tex.  To know that your music has been heard by over 100,000 people on our website and by radio listeners in most of the United States and several foreign countries gives Rita, Mike and I a very satisfying feeling of accomplishment.

   For over 8 months, CNN's Lou Dobbs had our link on his website and you can read our previous article about the numerous radio talk shows, newspaper articles and television interviews of which we were a part.  We will always be thankful to the Texas Minutemen and the Americans for Legal Immigration who played a major part in spreading the word about our music.  The hundreds of e-mails that we received thanking us for giving the American public a humorous country dance song about a serious situation-illegal immigration-more than offset the few name callers who have their own agenda.   While the majority of our C.D. is just good country music with a touch of blues, we don't apologize for the 3 songs which could be labeled political.  This brings us to “The Trans-Texas Corridor Blues”. 

    We invite you to listen to track #11 which we added at the last minute to our C.D.  Our song has been added to a documentary film by William Molina "The Truth Be Tolled".  A 3 minute music video can be viewed on this site.  We urge you to learn more about the planned toll way thru the heart of Texas and do your part in the fight against it.   We thank everyone who took part in our project and all the fans who have purchased our music and the tens of thousands who have visited our website.  We appreciate the continued support as you tell your friends and family about our music.
